A journey back in time, to when the mighty Republic of Venice built its perfect fortress: the tour begins in the underground tunnels and at the Baluardo Donato, before continuing to the majestic parade ground, Piazza Grande, the heart of city life, and finally to the cathedral.

Friday 10 July, Palmanova looks forward to welcoming you to Piazza to celebrate nine years as a World Heritage Site. Prepare some food and drink (or buy some from the town’s restaurants and bars), bring your own crockery and glasses, and come to Piazza Grande from 7.30 pm. You’ll find tables and chairs already set up for you (subject to booking) for dining al fresco, together with friends and family. Wine Nights in Strassoldo
Saturday 4 July from 8.00 pm an evening combining history, flavour and conviviality in the enchanting setting of the Castle of Strassoldo in Sotto.
