A walk with the director: the Roman burial site

This is the only section of the Aquileia necropolis currently open to visitors; it comprises five burial grounds situated along a side road on the outskirts of the town, which bear witness to the burial customs of the citizens of Aquileia. The beauty of the funerary monuments and the soft, subdued lighting make a visit to this site a deeply moving experience.
